We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Network Engineer, you will work closely with our Senior Network Engineers to design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual looking to kick-start their career in the field of networking.Major Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls
- Perform network troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues
- Monitor network performance and proactively address any bottlenecks or inefficiencies
- Assist in the installation and configuration of network equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure network security and data integrity
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in network engineering
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving & interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated for continuous learning and improvement
- Good customer service and relationship management skills
Knowledge, Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, Firewall and VPN
- Familiarity with network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing and Subnetting
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ will be a plus
- Proficient in English speaking, reading and writing
- Solid German language skills (written and spoken) is of advantage
